Terms of Service
Last updated 31 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Pulsecheck. We've kept them short and in plain English. Please read them before you create an account.
1. Who we are
Pulsecheck (pulsecheck.run) is run by Simon Dufty, a sole trader based in Melbourne, Australia ("we", "us", "our"). You can contact us at hello@pulsecheck.run.
By creating an account or using Pulsecheck, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
2. The service
Pulsecheck is a hosted monitor for scheduled jobs, such as cron jobs, automations and AI agents. Each job you create gets its own ping URL. Your job calls that URL when it runs, and we alert you when:
- a check-in doesn't arrive within the expected period plus the grace time you set;
- your job calls its
/fail URL to report a failure; or
- on the Pro and Agency plans, the summary your job sends breaks an output rule you've set.
Alerts are sent by email. On the Pro and Agency plans, you can also send alerts to Slack or another webhook URL.
3. Your account
- Use an email address you control, so we can reach you with alerts and account messages.
- Keep your password secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at hello@pulsecheck.run if you think someone else has accessed your account. You can also reset your password from the login page; this signs out every existing session.
4. Plans and billing
| Plan | Price | Jobs |
| Free | US$0 | 3 |
| Starter | US$9 a month | 20 |
| Pro | US$19 a month | 100, plus output checks and Slack or webhook alerts |
| Agency | US$49 a month | 500, plus output checks and Slack or webhook alerts |
- Prices are in US dollars. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe and renew each month until you cancel.
- Upgrades take effect straight away. Stripe charges a prorated amount for the rest of your current billing period.
- Downgrades to a cheaper paid plan take effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time in the Stripe customer portal (open Manage billing from your dashboard). Cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period. You keep your paid plan until then, and your account then moves to the Free plan.
- If a subscription ends for another reason, such as a payment that can't be collected, your account moves to the Free plan.
- Refunds are at our discretion, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires one (see section 9).
- Deleting your account cancels your paid plan immediately. No refund is given for the rest of the billing period, subject to the Australian Consumer Law (see section 9). If we can't cancel your plan, your account isn't deleted and we'll ask you to try again or contact us.
5. Job limits after a downgrade
If your plan changes to one with a lower job limit than the number of jobs you have:
- your oldest active jobs, up to the new limit, stay active;
- the rest become inactive. Inactive jobs aren't checked and don't send alerts. Check-ins to them are still recorded;
- nothing is deleted. Your jobs, settings and ping URLs are kept;
- you can choose which jobs stay active from your dashboard, up to your plan's limit;
- while you have as many jobs as your plan allows, or more, you can't add new ones until you delete some or upgrade;
- if you upgrade again, jobs that were made inactive because of the limit become active again, oldest first, up to the new limit.
Output checks and Slack or webhook alerts are only available on the Pro and Agency plans. They stop applying if you move to the Free or Starter plan.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Pulsecheck for anything unlawful;
- send personal or sensitive information about other people in your pings. Keep pings to counts, statuses and field names;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or parts of our systems you aren't authorised to use;
- overload, disrupt or attack the service, or try to get around its limits or security; or
- use alert emails or webhooks to send spam or to harass anyone.
7. Alerts aren't guaranteed
We work hard to send alerts promptly, but we don't guarantee that every alert will be delivered, or delivered on time. Alerts depend on networks, email providers, Slack and other services outside our control. Our checks also run at intervals rather than continuously. Pulsecheck is one safeguard. Please don't rely on it as the only way you find out that something critical has failed.
8. Limitation of liability
Subject to section 9, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to Pulsecheck is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have, or any guarantee that applies, under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that's used for abuse or that breaks these terms, including section 6.
You can stop using Pulsecheck at any time. To close your account, use Delete account in your dashboard. This deletes your account and all your jobs straight away. If you're on a paid plan, it also cancels the plan immediately, with no refund for the rest of the billing period (subject to section 9). The Privacy Policy explains what is kept afterwards.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If you keep using Pulsecheck after a change, the updated terms apply. If you don't agree with a change, you can cancel and delete your account.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
